FECAVA EuroCongress 2013

10th October 2011

The new Convention Centre Dublin will be the venue for the congress in October 2013, with 1,500 participants expected from all parts of Europe and from North America.
This is the first time that Veterinary Ireland and BSAVA have joined forces to co-host an event, and it is this combined experience that will ensure an impressive and successful event. A wide-ranging programme of lectures and practical sessions are being organized for veterinary surgeons and nurses working in small animal practice.

”FECAVA is pleased to award this prestigious event to Ireland to further develop the veterinary profession there. We are delighted that BSAVA-NI is co-hosting the congress and we anticipate an exciting and successful event” said Mr Andrew Byrne, Board Member of FECAVA.
“Veterinary Ireland looks forward to cooperating with our counterparts in Northern Ireland and the UK to host this important congress, and to provide such a great educational opportunity for our local vets and other European colleagues”, according to Mr. Finbarr Murphy, Chief Executive of Veterinary Ireland.

Andrew Ash, President of BSAVA, sees this as an opportunity to share the Association’s experience in offering the profession first class CPD; “BSAVA Congress is our flagship and we continue to work very hard to make sure that our own annual event evolves year-on-year. The opportunity to extend that even further and to work with our colleagues in Veterinary Ireland and FECAVA is a real privilege. Dublin is a great city and the venue is stunning – so along with the first-class science on offer – everyone is going to have a great time”.
Keynote PCO has worked with the Irish committees to secure this important international congress. “We’re delighted that FECAVA has recognised both the efforts of the local committee and the attractiveness of Dublin as a destination in awarding this very high-profile congress to Ireland”, said Noel Mitchell, Managing Director of Keynote PCO.
