Founded in 1921, CIGRE, the Council on Large Electric Systems, is an international non-profit Association for promoting collaboration with experts from all around the world by sharing knowledge and joining forces to improve electric power systems of today and tomorrow.

CIGRE counts more than 3 500 experts from all around the world working actively together in structured work programmes coordinated by the CIGRE 16 Studies Committees, overseen by the Technical Committee. Their main objectives are to design and deploy the Power System for the future, optimize existing equipment and power systems, respect the environment and facilitate access to information.

Venue: Trinity College Dublin

Located on a historic 40 acre campus in the centre of Dublin City, Trinity College can host meetings and conferences for up to 1,200 delegates. The campus is a ‘one stop’ conference location with the meeting facilities being complemented by well appointed residential accommodation and first class banqueting facilities. Comprehensive facilities include a range of conference halls and classrooms that can accommodate plenary and parallel sessions combined with space for scientific posters and exhibitions. 
Modern sports facilities with swimming pool are also available to resident delegates. The attractions of the city and the main transport hubs are all easily accessible.
