The Abbey Theatre is Ireland’s national theatre and was founded by W.B. Yeats & Lady

Augusta Gregory in 1904. It is home to some of the most famous playwrights and actors

of all time, beautiful historic art collections, an abundance of creativity and warm friendly

welcomes. It’s ideal for those looking for an exclusive venue for conferences, events and civil

ceremonies and its passionate award-winning team endeavour to create a unique cultural

experience for all its guests. The Abbey auditorium accommodates up to 492 guests and the

Peacock auditorium up to 132 with both areas complemented by engaging breakout space.

The Abbey’s rehearsal room is also available for private hire which is rarely seen by the public.

Guests can avail of complimentary Wi-Fi access, self-contained facilities, nearby car-parking

and a popular coffee deck. The Abbey Theatre is located just off O’Connell Street, close to

all major transport links, hotels and tourist attractions. We look forward to welcoming you.
