Enter through the modern facade on Thomas St and step back in time. John’s Bar is a mish mash of salvaged seating, cosy nooks, crannies, snugs, and a long central bar counter filled to the brim with beverages, retro sweets and haberdashery bits and bobs. Named after John Creeth, who ran his haberdashery shop under lease at 61 Thomas St in the 1850s, the pub aims to preserve the history of the Liberties, and celebrate one of its oldest trades.
